Penthouse9 (PH9) Restaurant & Whiskey Bar at 1318 9th St. NW, above Vita Lounge, will start serving Dinner as of Tuesday 2/19/13 from 5pm-10pm (Tues-Sat). Brunch will be served in few weeks. In order to allow the Neighborhood to try our Menu we are offering the Whole Menu at 50% Discount to the first 25 Guests Nightly. Dining will be Upstairs Only in the Whiskey Bar.
All drafts beers for Happy Hour this Week will be $0.99 Cents from 5pm – 8pm.

Not an owner but a resident of Shaw on 9 th St for 7 years. We are a great neighborhood and will welcome and support anyone who comes to our neighborhood to invest their hard earned Dollars . Give them a shot before murdering them.

I wish them luck. But the menu doesn’t inspire much confidence — misspelling “bon appetit,” extolling the space’s “dark feminine energy and broading intimacy.” I’m also skeptical about the quality of “local” asparagus in mid-February.
Here we go again is that all you can come up with. The menu look simple and easy enough to execute and maintain quality
These places along 9th will have a lot more success. There’s a huge residential development getting put in place just across the street and there’s a row of new businesses, bars, restaurants along that same section of 9th street. Vegetate catered to a very specific demographic without any new residential development coming but rather a dying Giant food store across the street from it.
