7 years ago I probably could have bought my house for 100 grand.

in 2002 i rented a studio around there for 780, which went up to about 980 by the time i moved out in 2007, so at least rents are consistently rising

I live in a 1-bedroom on the D2 bus to Dupont and pay 1400 including utilities. Good deal would depend on size of space, can’t get a great sense from the pictures of living space.

Haha what?! We used to have a 2 bedroom there for like $1600 a month, 7 years ago. Rents are crazy.

not sure, I used to live over there and I guess the rent is *okay*, one bedrooms are like $1600-1800.

funny how location changes your perspective (sometimes unfairly), where I live now I would immediately judge that building as “low income housing” based on the exterior but over there it’s just “prewar apartments”
