Instructors are current or former law enforcement. You will learn a lot more about safe driving than you would from any generic driving class.
I used Peter at Rock Creek driving school when I needed to re-learn to drive. He was great and you can book him in sessions, depending on the number of lessons you need. His website is here: http://www.rockdrivingschool.com/.
