In this market, not bad. Although, it is ridiculous that the market has come to live with three other people and still pay $875/mo., or even worse if you’re trying to keep a family under a roof.
Looks like a beautiful place, though.
Why is that listed as a Petworth rental? 16th St Heights stand out as a good bit nicer than Petworth.
Because Petworth has a metro station named after it. People hear “Petworth” and automatically assume this house is much closer the metro than it actually is.
This isn’t Petworth? Where’s the line?
In any event, 16th Street Heights may be “nicer” but it’s further out from downtown and further from metrorail. I also think it’s less “well-known” as a neighborhood but that may just be me.
At the risk of getting beat up by neighborhood nerds, the line is Georgia Ave. I think it runs about the same distance to downtown, although a few blocks further West.
I was suprised to see that someone changed the Wiki page for Petworth to say that west edge is Arkansas Ave. That makes more intuitive sense to me (really, the stuff just east of GA is very Petworthy compared to a lot of the 16th St. Heights stuff), but I’m not sure what the official city records say.
One full bath for four bedrooms/roommates can be small, especially in the mornings. I love the bedroom with the window seat, but I’m willing to bet that one of those bedrooms (the green one) only has room for a twin bed and is really a study type room. Also, to create that open kitchen, they took away a lot of upper cabinetry and the microwave above the counter makes the ones above that one small. Not a ton of storage in that kitchen. But a very nice house.
4 Bed, 1.5 Bath?! Yeah no.
