What makes these goofballs think they can casually shoot at popo without getting in trouble? It only results to time in jail and a lifefime of being watched by popo. Really stupid.
To be fair, stupid is sort of a prerequisite for most of these guys. Otherwise, they would’ve long since graduated from this schoolyard shit.
Stupid, and born into a hyperviolent society with terrible schools, easy access to weapons, and the lowest rate of upward economic mobility of all the advanced industrial democracies.
You can’t fix stupid. But you CAN fix a society that turns “stupid” into “felon” at a much, much higher rate than Canada and Western Europe.
Always some dim bulb who finds a way to blame society to excuse bad behaviour. Yeah, it’s the weapons and lack of school funds (HA!, google how much DC spends per capita) why ‘youths’ are llike that. Boy, if only we passed more ‘assault weapons’ bans and threw more money at the schools, that would fix ‘em good.
That’s not what anon said
Lead exposure. Until recently many of WASA’s water mains were lead.

Well it says twice that the vehicle was “unmarked”. If that means it was showing no signs of being popo, these guys thought they would just fire at a civilian car driving towards/near them. I think that is a little something to be worried about too. Especially at 7:15pm…yeah it’s dark outside now, but not exactly the middle of the night. It seems like these things are happening any time of day in this area.
Too bad the officers didn’t fire at the thugs. They might have gotten a lucky hit.
Seems as good a time as any to recall the guy who argued that Trinidad was the same as Mt. Pleasant. Yep, this sort of stuff happens EVERY DAY in Mt. Pleasant.
And Mount Pleasant is so boring I would just as soon live in a Virginia suburb – what’s your point?
