This one from Woodland-Normanstone near Woodley Park continues to grow on me.

Still needs soms growing on my part I’m afraid…
DC needs more modern architecture — less Georgian Revival. I like it.
That may be true, but this looks like an office building for plastic surgeons.
I like it. Maybe not the garage entrance, but the upper levels are fantastic and I’ll bet it’s stunning from inside.
I think it’s interesting but also reminds me more of a museum or public building than an actual home. And, I definitely don’t like the car-centric entrance. Seems fortress-like.
One of my favorite DC contemporary houses is on Cathedral Ave:

Ah yes. This is the neighborhood where the obscenely rich live. You can bet that a senator or a CEO lives there.
Jealous much? Maybe in your next life, you can choose to prioritize financial success over leisure or other pursuits too!
I’m not the one who made the comment you’re responding to, but I don’t understand your reaction. How is pointing out that this is a wealthy neighborhood being jealous?
what are you talking about? get off your high horse. saying that a neighborhood is upper class doesn’t mean one is jealous….
Which Salahi posted this?
Love that house! Great to walk/drive around that neighborhood on a saturday afternoon.
From the photos this strikes me as being a little too…spectacular. Maybe I’ll like it more if I see it in person, and maybe it is actually somewhat liveable on the inside.
This is Debra Lee’s house. She runs BET. It was designed by Michael Marshall… pretty sick inside. like 2 kitchens, a theatre, a 10 car garage or something…. her closet is also to die for with it’s own hairstyling station.
Here is a link to a recent story on Debra Lee’s home… http://www.modernluxury.com/dc/story/solo-show….that house is over 20,000 sf!!! Congrats to Ms. Lee…I’d say she’s doing just fine!
WOWZAS!!!!!!!!!! DAMN.
Ms. Lee is rollin’ in it. That’s an amazing living room.
I like it, from these angles, but I wonder what the back looks like.
Yea ive been in pretty much every room in this house, as well as her last that is next door… up the hill
house is very nice (clearly lol) but it is very tastefully done on the interior…
i just dont like that it had FAR less outdoor space than her last
