NBC Washington reports:
“Calls came in around 2 a.m. that flames were coming from the roof of Hank’s Oyster Bar, also known as Hank’s On The Hill, at 633 Pennsylvania Ave. in Southeast.”
Hank’s opened in the former Ba Bay space in July ’12.

I’ve said it before – that spot is cursed.
Every since that long term restaurant closed it really has been one of those places that never seems to prosper.
Hank’s is okay: From their website:
WHAT THE SHUCK?
Yes, it’s true, early this morning there was a small fire at Hank’s on the Hill. Firstly, we are thankful NO ONE WAS HURT. The restaurant suffered minimal damage. We want to say, thank you to the DCFD for their rapid response. We are so grateful for the all the support from our neighbors and patrons. We will be shucking for you all soon!
