they no longer have the bacon wrapped deep fried hot dogs. their menu has changed and they haven’t updated their website.
e menu reflects the Mussel Bar menu from upstairs. The Abbey is now an extension of the upstairs restaurant.
Had great mussels there a couple of months ago. When I was there it was pretty low-key (not too “concept-y”), but the food was great and the beer selection pretty good.
I have been want to try this place since it opened. Is the beer list worth it?
It’s pretty good. Not Churchkey or Bier Baron good, but worth your while.
The beer list is acceptable to people that don’t drink beer regularly. Same old Belgians as everywhere else in this city.
A perfect transition to accompany St. Arnolds – this place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Strong, smart waitstaff and barkeeps, and consistently good food keeps me coming back. Quickly becoming a mainstay for the local crowds.
