Ha! This almost looks like it was photoshopped to stretch it taller. Pop, up, and awaaaaayyyyy!!!

I believe this house is new construction, not a pop-up. It’s unbelievably narrow. Looks like they’ve made good use of the space, but it’s not worth $739.

  • Oh man, IPOD dock! Totally worth 3/4 of a million!!!!

  • I don’t like it. The front looks plain. And ugly. Inside looks nice enough, but overall it looks like a cheap flip.

  • If it was on the west side of Lincoln Park, I would say YES. But spending 3/4 of a million to live next to the Armory just seems stupid. That area is still really sketchy, especially at night.

I suggested this one because it’s down the block and at the same price point we paid for a 4 bedroom–but our place has much more curb appeal and fits into the surrounding homes. This isn’t a popup but an oddity built mid-century, I believe. We watched them gut it so I was pretty skeptical at the price, but seeing the well-done inside I think it could make that price for the right person, if they don’t mind the verticalness. It’s very deep so the two rooms on each of the upper floors are huge and the renovation is really well-done. I too think the exterior is ugly, and there’s just a carpad (we have a sideyard), but I think this may still go for $710+. There were 3 offers on our house its opening weekend. It’s a remarkably convenient location to Metro, H St and Eastern Markert/Barracks Row. Some sketchy blocks nearby but A St itself is great, and the area could rocket if they finally develop area near Armory metro as planned. This will scare off the NW crowd (we were one) but it has a lot going for it.

The brickwork doesn’t look 1935 which is what the list gives as the date of the place.

Size alone will generate interest. Bud goodness the is absolutely zero curb appeal

I should have added that the photoshopping on this makes this place look like a Hollywood facade – a front with no back. The image on googlemap has the door looking a bit different and the neighbor house boarded up.

And right across the street is a house that has been featured on PoP before though I can’t remember when – though fairly recently.

The one across the street is the one with the astroturf roofdeck and video games inside. For sale sign is down but they may have pulled it off the market.

“Arabian Carrera granite counter tops in the Kitchen and Master bath”

Carrera is actually a type of marble, not granite, and it is usually not a good idea to be used in a kitchen because it absorbs stains very quickly.

Had 2 open houses and is now listed as pending so must have gotten close to list price, I’d guess.
