I hear they're in terrible financial shape, so this is probably the best they can do.
Don’t forget that Tyson is in the dryer before you turn it on – or that would be one really fluffy cat!
+1. I am glad that my cat has never shown any inclination to explore the dryer or the (front-loading) washing machine… even as it is, I always check REALLY carefully before turning either on.
Please discourage this. Take it from someone whose childhood cat died in the dryer. Scarred for life.
Awwww..so proud. Her eyes are slightly closed in the photo because she gets very scared when someone wants to take her picture and I didn’t want her to be taken away from me due to her fear.
I am always terrified that one of my cats will climb into the front loader. I certainly hope that you break Tyson of this habit before you have a tragedy.
Wait – you think someone is going to stick a bunch of wet laundry in the dryer while the cat is in there and the cat won’t notice? Or the person won’t notice the cat? We’re talking a dryer here, not a cement mixer.

I did read it. It gave no details, so we don’t know if it was accidental, and if so how, or if it was kids messing around. (not uncommon.)

I promise that there is never laundry done without making sure Tyson isn’t in there
He takes up at least half of the size of the drum. Not much would fit in there while he is in there. Plus we have to remove his soft blanket before using it each time. Yes he has his own blanket in there too.
