415 8th Street, SE
Back in early October I shared some scuttlebutt that a Kraze Burgers could be coming to 415 8th St, SE on Barracks Row next to the new(ish) Chipotle. Thanks to all who sent word that Kraze Burgers coming soon signage has now been posted at the space.
We spoke about our favorite burgers in DC here.

"Boot camp" groups. My hardcore running friends always complain about them. They clog up...
Gathering in one place to show respect for those who served their country is thoughtful....
Don't you have to wait in line just to put your name down, though?
Also, what if I...
I would also go to your councilmember (who is Jim Graham) and explain the situation. They...
So awful, praying that see and the baby are as okay as you can be after being shot
Sweet! Even more places to eat after church. (Now I don’t have to wait an hour plus for Ted’s Bulletin.)
Well this is certainly disappointing. One thing this town does not need is another burger joint!
Yea im kinda with you… and im a burger lover….
ive never been to the one in bethesda, but from my understanding they are a korean chain
While I agree that DC has too many burger joints, this stretch does not have a burger joint so I think it is a good addition. I don’t know how the hot dog place stays in business.
true, but good stuff is in walking distance
Is there any place on 8th Street where you CAN’T get a burger? Seriously. Ted’s, Matchbox, Ugly Mug, ALL of Xavier’s interchangeable eateries. Hell, you can get a lamb burger at Cava. And that’s not even counting what’s over in Eastern Market. By the way, the burger at Tortilla Cafe is pretty awesome. And cheap.
Unlike other burger joints, though, this one looks like it has some good vegetarian options (the one on the left sign is some sort of tasty-looking tofu burger).
Also, I’d argue that the Barracks Row/Eastern Market area could use a casual burger place. You can get a decent burger at Ted’s, but that’s more of a sit-down place, and Good Stuff isn’t THAT close.
Or that good.
Yes, that too.
Not impressed with this place at all.
Kraze is a good place. I think it will do well on Barracks Row.
I’m convinced that Chipotle is the worst run Chipotle on the planet, which makes sense since it’s next to the Worst Run Popeyes on the Planet.
It really is terrible. My girlfriend and I got sick from the food the first (and only) time we went there.
Agreed! Love Chipotle in general but this one is D.I.R.T.Y. and poorly run. It had a grungy, dirty feeling to it after the first few days and never recovered. Reminds me I need to put a comment on the Chipotle corporate site about it!
I think the CoHi one might be just as bad. At least in terms of service.
I still prefer the one in Columbia Heights over Chinatown, which is always jammed packed, dirty, and has slow service.
Kraze has good vegetarian options! Yay!
