1122 Connecticut Ave, NW
Yesterday a reader asked about the new Peroni signs on the former Talbot’s space at 1122 Connecticut Ave, NW just north of K Street. I stopped by yesterday and a worker had heard that they were working on a new restaurant for the space. However if you look at Showcase real estate site it looks like the space is still for lease. It appears the Peroni signs are just an advertisement. Stay tuned.

..or bike. or bus. or drive. or cab. or walk. or stay in the neighborhood.
people...
I guess they'll have to just walk the half mile to the NOMA Metro or take the H St...
do all texans think the same?
i'm not sure why i get why that is relevant.
Frankly, as a Texan, I have never had worse enchiladas than I had at Mi Cocina. I don't...
It would be nice to see this spot filled with retail rather than a restaurant. In a more perfect world, Conn Ave would be a grand European-style shopping boulevard. In the real world, it would just be nice to get this and the old Filene’s space filled soon with some retail.
I agree, the city/congress should allow some sort of exemption from the Height Restriction law and let buildings along Conn. Ave. be a few stories taller so that there is an incentive to remodel them.
Not to stickle, but it’s actually facing south towards K.
Thanks so much for checking it out, PoP. I saw the Peroni signs on a drive-by so couldn’t do much close inspection. As for me, no to more boutique retail, yes to more gathering places, preferably pubs and the like.
