  • I’m sorry – could you speak up? I can’t hear you …

  • I wonder if PoP will ever run out of House Porn to run each Wednesday?

  • The deck and the built-in’s are the best things about that place. I was sort of unimpressed by the small size of communal living spaces. I think $3.4 is a stretch.

  • Come on, $500 million Powerball jackpot… Smilla needs a new mansion!

  • ah

“Value” and $3.4m don’t go together with respect to houses. Jets perhaps.

    • I guess you’ll have to *settle* for something in your 135k salary range…

      • Am I detecting snark? How much house do you think someone making $135k can realistically afford in the city. Houses are ridiculously expensive in this city.

      • I wish I made $135k! Pretty sure I didn’t say I made HousePornListingPrice/25. I couldn’t make my $30k in annual mortgage payments on my own salary. (Married, not trust funded – to try and preempt your next assumption).

  • Driving by it looks like this house has no yard. For 3.4 million I’d like at least some extra land.

    • Or have a public running/walking trail going directly through what should be your backyard. There’s really no privacy in this place as the public can essentially look in through three sides of the house. If I’m dropping $3.4 I’d want a high level of privacy.

  • Love it – wonder when the neighboring house will hit the market.
6 matching numbers and this baby will be all mine!

  • Doesn’t look like any parking – which is actually good since these houses were built on land carved into the conservancy, which needed to bolster their funding and did it by selling these valuable lots on its streetfront.

    • There’s a drive-way on the left side on the building (when looking at the house from the sidewalk) that goes downhill and leads to a basement-level garage. The photos don’t show all of this.

  • My wife and I went to the open house last week. This place felt designed for a small number of people to live in ridiculous luxury. Also, it does have parking with a pretty good size garage on the side of the building. I have to say though, they did a pretty good job of making it blend in with the older houses in the neighborhood.

The lack of yard space was my biggest complaint at that price point, though I suppose the Tregaron Conservancy could functionally be your back yard.

    • ah

Depending on what you want the yard for, it could be even better. Not your responsibility, either for upkeep or paying taxes. Plus no one can build there.

I’m personally always stunned that people would pay $3m+ for a house without any real yard, but clearly there are people who want house but no yard hassle.

  • Is that real copper flashing/downspouts? Someone’s gonna’ try to steal that shit…
