Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit.

Zoe with the dead mousie toys – Rosalie the tortie approves of your recreation choices.

  • I like Tasha and her pillow. Very cute. Beau, where am I supposed to nap? Zoe is very cute with her pink cord.

  • Here is a dog question for all you city pet owners. I recently adopted an adult dog, small breed. I started giving him free run of the living room / spare bedroom during the day while at work. He was doing great for a while with no accidents and he is not destructive but suddenly he started to mark one spot. I have cleaned it several times but he goes back to it, even if I walk him till he is dry before I leave. I think it is more out of boredom/anxiety than a need to relieve himself.

Anybody have any advice on how to curb this behavior? Ceasar the dog whisperer said to restrict his space and gradually give him more. He is staying in the bathroom now while at work (felt the crate was just too small). How long do you leave your dogs at home? I assume most people work an 8 hour day and take just under an hour to go to work and get home so that make close to a 10 hour day alone? Is that the norm, if not how do you get around it?
