    I would expect an in-unit W/D for $1700.

      you’d expect wrong

Then I would look elsewhere than this ancient, bump of a building. A stackable W/D unit is not too much to ask for at this price. Unless the building is so old that it wasn’t outfitted with the proper water piping when it was built in Roman times (as appears to be the case).

And while I’m at it, I would also expect a non-ancient oven/range and cabinets that aren’t cheap laminate for $1700.

        Awful deal.

Stay away. Gas leaks, major fire, never ending construction, screaming neighbors. I had no shower for six days and no one did anything about it.

    murphy beds are awesome

It is around market rate for a studio in the area. I live on that block for less in rent. However, if the place is so small it needs a murphy bed and is on the first floor-that seems like a rip off.
