Wow. That's horrible. I cannot believe the audacity of some people. Did she not thin you...
thanks for writing citykids! great addition!
I live a block away from that corner too... and it's the one area I try to avoid passing...
Rant: a friend of mine cancelled on our plans to go to a play this afternoon because she...
you do live in a transitional neighborhood. news like this is rough, but it shouldn't be...
Nice place, but $1600 seems a little much for a studio in SW Waterfront. What are studios in that area going for nowadays? A friend of mine rented a great studio a couple blocks northwest of here just two years ago for around $1100 a month. Have prices in SW really gone up that much in two years (sincere question, curious to know the answer)?
I don’t really know about going rates in SW Waterfront, but this place is furnished, which usually means a bit higher rent.
Cute! So nice to see a studio with decent closet space and some character (the arched doorframe)!
Sorry, but that is too high for SW Waterfront.
Ah, the trusty EXPEDIT bookshelf…and it’s even in the same exact place as it is in MY studio!
I suspect that prices are shooting up in Southwest (former SW resident myself, before I decamped for Md.) because property owners are now at the threshold where major projects like the Wharf are coming to fruition. There may be a bit of residual effect from the Nationals rebound in popularity as well–considering you can walk to the stadium in 10 minutes from this location. I’m wondering if the ship has already sailed on trying to find a good deal on a property in that part of town.
