From MPD Chief Cathy Lanier:
Many of you may remember that earlier in the year we had several cases where a suspect preyed upon our elderly residents in the First District and in the Fifth District. This person would enter the residence under false pretenses, assault and tie up his victims, burglarize the residence, and exit while leaving his victims still bound.
I am happy to report that our detectives were quickly able to identify and arrest Tony Ford in regards to these shocking crimes. Today, Judge Gerald Fisher sentenced Mr. Ford to 23 ½ years in prison for these heinous criminal acts.

I know cycling has problems, but the crackdown on juicing has gone too far.
All I know is I am tired of seeing every renovation is just a gut job, then a unoriginal...
I love Bacio pizza in Bloomingdale! They don't offer delivery but great neighborhood...
311? I think I found the flower thief. Suspect is helmeted male, hopped up on apple...
I tried their kabob last weekend, it was pretty good and a lot of food for the price....
Props. This seems like an appropriate sentence, insuring this person will be gone for a long time.
That seems low. How many years will he actually serve? For how many “heinous criminal acts”?
With good behavior, he’ll be out in three years and a candidate for At Large Councilmember in six. DC loves themselves a felon what’s found Jeebus.
Seriously, really, do I have to do this again? Well, I just don’t have the time. You can look up the statute yourself. He will, if everything breaks his way, serve 85 percent of that time. Without good behavior he will serve more.
Definite Props!! More of these need to follow this trend.
Thanks to the jury as well. Even the most open and shut case in DC is subject to a very anti-prosecution jury pool.
exactly!
I’m glad that they got the conviction and all, but 23.5 years seems a little light to me. How long till this person is paroled?
Really are you kidding me? See my above post.
Hey, I don’t read ‘em. I just write ‘em.
