  • DCCX 2012 (http://www.dcmtb.com/dccx/) also will bring 800 cyclist to the Soldiers and Airmen Home on Sunday, October 21. Should be a busy weekend in Petworth.

    • DCCX is so much fun – great to just go and watch. The whole race is on the grounds of the Soldier’s Home so no closed roads, but between the cyclists and those there to see it there will be a few thousand people attending.

  • “South on Georgia Avenue to Florida Avenue, NW”

So where is the northern cutoff point on Georgia Avenue — Gresham? Some point further south/north?? Not clear.

    • That is not so much a list of street closings but a description of the parade route, which needs to be read as a single string.

The parade will be coming from Fairmont St to Georgia Ave, then down Georgia Ave to Florida Ave, and from there to 5th St.

  • And the Marine Corps Marathon is the 28th I think – which is thankfully not this weekend.

  • Is there an actual map somewhere of the Howard parade?
