Embers Grill Opens Today at 80 F Street, NW

Embers Grill opens today near Georgetown Law School and Irish Times at 80 F St, NW. The menu was still being finalized when I stopped by but there will be lots of grill items, naturally, plus falafel and other interesting lunch options. They’ll be open Mon. – Sat. 7am to 5pm.

That’s right across the street from me. I’ve looked at their menu. Looks like a good selection of middle eastern food, but more expensive than the same stuff you can buy from some of the trucks that come around.

Decided to try the new spot, Embers, for lunch today. Chickpeas and rice were on point – the falafel? – not so much. It was overcooked and bland, however, I’m open to trying other items on the menu. We’ll see . . .

Tried the new spot (Embers) today. They are pretty slow in getting orders out, perhaps this will improve over time. Steak and cheese was okay. Fries were great!
