1110 H Street, NE
We’ve been waiting a long time for someone to open up at 1110 H St, NE in the awesome Hubert Newsom Real Estate building. It was a pleasant surprise to see the new Newsom restaurant and bar open during the H Street Festival. @HStreetDC_ says to stay tuned for an early October opening. Anyone stop by and taste the food during the festival?
The space looks great:

1st floor bar

2nd floor bar

Great view

It looks like the bedroom is only accessible through the bathroom. Weird.
very cool building
Sounds absolutely delicious! Is the owner related to the former real estate agent, or did they just co-opt the name? Either way, I can’t wait to try it.
Nice looking place. Are they trying to turn a profit on the food? At $5 per pop, it seems pretty cheap.
Eric Nuzem should do his next book reading there.
With 33 entries this week, this was a tough job for Dustin, Jillayne, Rhonda and I. Diane made it eaiser because she was so far and above! Thanks Diane!A couple of questions for Drew:1) One person sent three entries. Is there a limit to the number of entries one person can send in one week?2) Does the post have to written in the week of submission? Can someone send a post they wrote in 2006 as example?
I was impressed with this place at the festival. The cocktail I had was excellent, and the food was good as well. And a great space to boot! It looks like it’s going to mostly be a place for drinks and small plates.
I stopped by during the festival and had a cocktail and the steak and cheese egg roll. Both were delish and I’m looking forward to this space opening up. When I asked about the restaurant/Bar’s theme the bartender wasn’t sure. Hopefully they’ll keep some of those drinks and food items from the festival on their menu.
I had the edamame hummus with plantain chips. My 2 year old even liked it. I am still craving more! Can’t wait to try the ketel one grapefruit slushy, I bet my 2 year old will like that too! ha ha just kidding…a great new addition!
We stopped by for the quail and a cocktail at the festival- it was wonderful! Friendly folks- looking to stop there again.
