Oak wood floors throughout? Are they painted white or tiled over in the kitchen and living room?

I know we all (who live in this hood) hate this house, but I’m wondering: in thirty years will we look back at it fondly? Kind of in an “it’s so ugly it’s cute,” crazy uncle kind of way? Plus it’s kind of nice to have something we all agree on.

  • EvilStevie

If you can afford to buy, you can afford to live above ground.

  • Looks like the house is wearing a giant spaceballs helmet… Pop-ups don’t do it for me…

  • Taz

Are those top windows really not centered? Actually, ditto on the middle floor windows, too; they’re not spaced evenly. Wow.

  • I was excited to see the inside of this house and actually somewhat pleasantly surprised by some of the details – love those arch ways and the crown molding, and for security bars the flower-shaped ones that they have a pretty cute!

It’ll be interesting to see what this goes for…

is the picture distorted or photoshopped? there is something trippy about it. or maybe i am just hungover.

    • Jay

I think the architect is the one who was hungover. Can’t decide if he should be fired or incarcerated for this trainwreck.

Oh my gawd, no. Looks like something from Alice in Wonderland. And ZERO counterspace in the kitchen. I think this will be on the market for a while.

  • Anonymous

I think the pop-up itself slopes as well. I’ve never seen so many unpainted doors in a condo.

  • Anon3

How is this POSSIBLY priced this high? Anyone, anyone? I would love to hear a justification.

    • skeptic

comps + 10% (it merits the bonus because, unlike the neighbors, when you live in this house you never have to see its disgusting exterior when you look out your windows)

bonus: 3/4ths of the vertical space is above grade and unlikely to fill with water or depressing darkness

half the unit has cozy ceilings for a more intimate space!

location, location, location! it’s truly a testament to the neighborhood that this steaming pile can be conceived to sell at such a price.

  • Such vitriol! For everything that you want in a starter house, this has it. Location IS great, walk to Target plaza, supermarket if you need or never cook with all the restaurants you have in walking distance :) It’s got nice size rooms, more than one bath and nice kitchen. Even parking! Whatever your opinions are of the curb appeal, it still fits with the cadence of the neighborhood, its not like the Floridian, Rhapsody, Beauregard or the W modern house over on 10th and W. Its a great place for a good price in a great neighborhood and to answer the blogs question – its a good deal!
