$2,650 seems like a lot of money for a 2 bedroom without a yard.

These rental prices are out of control. $1325 to share a bathroom? It’s a pretty good area, but it’s still a decent from the metro, and no one should pay that much to rent.
It’s a 10-minute walk (or a two-minute bus ride on the 90s) to the Eastern Market Metro station.
Rental prices are not out of control if that’s what people are willing to pay. Just because YOU wouldn’t pay that much doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t pay that much.
I would bet good money the person renting this out had five prospective tenants lined up within 24 hours of the listing.
It’s also a 14-minute walk to Capitol South, and a 19-minute walk to Union Station (per Google Maps). So that’s three Metro stations within easy walking distance.
listings like this are why I’m moving south. Just swapped a $2500 a month mortgage in a condo to a $500 mortgage in a 4 bedroom home.
Make sure you get a nice gun rack and Confederate flag to decorate it!
