Yo! Sushi Applies for Liquor License at Future Chinatown Location

7th and H St, NW

Looks like things are moving forward with the Yo! Sushi coming to the renovated building at 7th and H St, NW in Chinatown.

675 H Street, NW

The entrance will be on H Street and the liquor license application says:

“New Japanese restaurant serving primarily Sushi & Japanese style food for on-site consumption or grab & go with seating for 48 patrons and total occupancy load of 62.”

Yo! Sushi recently opened their first DC location in Union Station. You can see their menus here. Anyone try them out yet at Union Station?

  • I’ve been to one in London. It’s exactly what you expect: reasonably good sushi at a reasonably good price.

not really excited by chains or anything with “yo” in the title, but damn that building is looking great. finally.

  • oink

They should rename it “Meh Sushi.” It wasn’t anything special other than the concept. Lots of california rolls, spicy tuna rolls, etc, going by on the belt. Anything good had to be ordered from a chef or a waiter. All of the rice was a bit on the mushy side. We were comped one of the crispy spicy tuna plates though.
