I swear that every summer, outdoor movie line-up features the same films. I realize that...
It looks lovely, but my goodness that is a lot to pay for housing.
1) If I were the owner, I’d be a bit peeved at the realtor for the sloppy typos (especially considering the potentially substantial commission).
2) Even if I had a lot of money and was only living in DC short-term, I can’t imagine paying nearly $2,500 per bedroom!
Looks beautiful, but HOLY HELL that’s a lot of money.
Why isn’t there a single picture of the bedrooms, dining area, or these outdoor entertainment spaces? We get it, the living room is nice, but for that money, we need a bit more than a large couch.
If you click through to the full listing, there are a ton more photos–it looks gorgeous and huge–but, wow, the price tag.

parking on two levels! definitely worth it.
Lovely pad, but spending nearly $60,000/year for an apartment is insane.
For serious, save some cash, make a down payment, and buy a place.
Not a bad deal. That place is ridiculous. I mean, I would never be able to afford it and if I could, as others have pointed out, I might be willing to buy. But at the same time, there are benefits to renting and I know a lot of people who could easily afford $1mil plus places still rent for various reasons. This would be a great place for someone making $200k+ per year. Yes, if we are talking average two bedroom apartment rentals in Logan, this one is very expensive, but I still think that there is a market for this type of extravagent rental and that its probably in the right ballpark for that type of person.
Absolutely. An extravagant rental wouldn’t fly in most neighborhoods, but there is a demand for it in places like Logan, Dupont, Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, Penn Quarter, Chinatown.
I think I have the opposite of claustrophobia; huge places like this kind of creep me out. I mean, space is good, but too much space doesn’t feel like home– it feels very uncomfortable.
For that price I want at least a penthouse with spectacular view & huge terrace. And a houseboy.
Isn’t “IN THE HEART OF LOGAN” already occupied by the statue of Logan? What’s with the overuse of the word ‘heart’?
Let’s say you want to spend 1/3 or your gross income on rent.
Do the math and you get a salary of about $178,000 a year.
Tons of individuals around here making that much — or couples both in 6 figures.
And the bedrooms are in the basement…WOW!
more than twice my mortgage for a three bedroom house on a better block in Logan. Super fresh reno though.
The universe of people for whom it makes good financial sense to spend $5000 a month in rent is pretty small. But there are a great deal of very stupid people with a lot of money.
Not a fan of the yellow mantle….looks nice otherwise.
Generous square footage, nice design, huge rooms, but not worth it. I’m guessing the owner is heavily in debt and easily could go underwater with a sale. Probably someone who’s moving to another area with possibility of a return.
