NBC Washington Reports FRC Shooter Had “two loaded magazines with 15 rounds each in the suspect’s backpack, as well as Chik-Fil-A promotional materials”
From NBC Washington:
The shooter entered the building at 801 G Street NW [in the lobby of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian organization] at around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. He approached the front desk and said he was an intern before pulling a Sig Sauer 9 mm handgun from a backpack.
The guard confronted him, and they had an altercation before the shooter fired, striking the guard in the arm. Despite his injury, he gained control of the weapon and held it on the suspect.
Authorities found two loaded magazines with 15 rounds each in the suspect’s backpack, as well as Chik-Fil-A promotional materials, NBC4′s Jackie Bensen reported.

Well, anti-materials would indicate that he’s crazy. Pro-materials would indicate that he’s both crazy and stupid. So, maybe there is some kind of distinction worth noting.
By “stupid” I meant that it would be stupid to attack an organization that supports your views, not that it would be stupid to be pro-Chick-Fil-A, though maybe a separate case could be made for that.

1) NBC 4 is probably the least reliable- they reported that the shooting occurred at the National Portrait Gallery for well over an hour.
2) Good job by the security guard. Really shows how valuable carrying a firearm can be in this city. Just think or all the burglaries, robberies, etc that would be stopped if more, well-trained citizens were able to carry firearms. And, if a would-be robber were to get shot in a failed attempt to rob an armed citizen, you can bet crime would be significantly reduced as word got around.
