Narrow rowhouse. Seems like a market price.
I used to live right around the corner from there. That stretch of Independence really turns into a freeway during afternoon rush hour. The neighborhood isn’t tops, but it’s tolerably close to metro, grocery stores, the highway, etc. Good bus coverage from the 96, D6 and B2 (great for getting to & from H Street).
The house looks cute. Small, but nice details. The stairs are great, and I like that they kept the original interior doors. All in all, a pretty good deal for a fee-simple house in an okay DC neighborhood.
I thought we’d seen this one before, but now I’m worried that they’re just starting to look the same to me. Probably a decent deal though.
I felt the same way when my girlfriend and I were looking at houses on Capitol Hill. We must have seen several dozen that were very similar to this.
I’m not a fan of those stairs, and I really hate when they’re right in front of your face when you walk through the front door. But the kitchen’s cute, and the price is right.

I like the closet with the baskets and rolled-up white towels. It’s good to know there’s storage space for such items in case you wanted to open up a spa in the house.
The lack of a dining space for more than a little bistro table is unfortunate.
