4128 Georgia Ave, NW
Lots of folks have been writing in asking about Epiphany BBQ coming to 4128 Georgia Ave, NW (next to the YES! Organic Market.) They were a bit delayed while they were getting their permitting in order but I’m happy to share that they will be opening on Monday. Have a peek at the delicious looking menu here.

I'm not sure who all these people are who are suggesting to park at DC USA. I just...
Work across the street. Business never appears to be THAT good (ie saddest bar/club I've...
Sure, transfer the title, registration, and insurance to someone who doesn't own or drive...
Mat, Thanks again for your support; and your point is well taken.
"Used to live," not "used the live." I hate blackberrys.
I miss hearing the wild cats...
the place is called “epiphany open pit beef” and they don’t have, you know, pit beef on their menu.
The pit beef is SO much better in Baltimore. I don’t bother having it anywhere else. It’s the non ambiguous signage.
HI rd: we invite you today to stop by any time and taste our signiture pit beef sandwich on us. Today is our first day of firing the pit and we would like to extend our invitation to you good for up to $20.00 Today.
Prices looking mighty questionable….$7 for 6 wings? $23 for whole ribs and 2 sides? I’ll give them a try but with prices like those they better impress…
My only hope is that the chicken wings are whole wings (drummy and other part). And yea…where’s the pit beef?
Place looks good, but where’s the pulled pork?
+1 I love pulled pork
Hi Brookland-rez
we invite you to stop by and taste our pull pork today on us mention coupon k. Today will be the first day that we will fire up the pit. Thank you
The menu page has a picture of beautiful fried chicken, but there is none on the menu.
None of the pictures on the menu page are of the actual food this place will serve. Observe:
Ribs: http://www2.tboextra.com/entertainment/tboextra-dining/2010/aug/25/barbecue-not-location-is-the-meat-of-the-matter-ar-266695/ – Photo is of the mixed BBQ platter at Kennedy’s BBQ at Heritage Isles Country Club in Tampa, Fla.
Cuban: http://www.mimannarestaurant.com/menu/ (among others)
Chicken Strips: http://smokeonthesquare.com/chicken-strips/ (among others)
I give this place 6 months.
Wow, well at least they know how to use the internet…
As an aside, the food at Manna (from whence the picture of the Cuban Sandwich) is amazing, and one of the greatest losses I suffered when I moved out of that area.
I’m extra appalled at that because, noticing the poor photo quality, I thought, “Good on them for using pictures of their own food, instead of the predictable stock images.” No such luck, apparently.
I could care less where the pictures of their food come from. All I care about is whether the food they actually serve is any good. I’ll wait until I taste the food before I decide whether to write them off.
It’s a terrible look, a huge “don’t know what they’re doing” red flag. At least stock photos are halfway legitimate (but still probably illegal) but ripping off food photos from other restaurants (and newspapers) is flagrantly criminal.
You guys keep hating on the photos, I cannot wait to try it. The owner saw me peaking in the windows a month or so back while he was working and invited me in. Super nice guy, and he was tweaking the menu and trying things – smelled amazing in there.
SAMICHES!
Hoping “open pit beef” isn’t the new “back alley waffles.”
