The DC Homebrewers have started an online petition before the White House seeking the release of the President’s homebrewed beer recipes! We need a LOT of signatures to get this request considered/granted.”
The petition says:
Following in the footsteps of great men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin, Barack Obama has reportedly been enjoying the rewards of home brewed beer. Recent reports from news outlets like the Washington Post (August 15th, 2012) have stated that Obama has been drinking a White House home brew Honey Ale while on the campaign trail.
In keeping with the brewing traditions of the founding fathers, homebrewers across America call on the Obama Administration to release the recipe for the White House home brew so that it may be enjoyed by all.
The reality of this would probably end up being pretty disappointing. It’s probably just some variety of Red Hook with a different label. They do all sorts of “private label” repackaging of their products.
Glorified home brew kit. That’s it. Who cares?
I guess this is better than people asking Obama to release his birth certificate… but really, why does his homebrew recipe matter?

Does it matter? like will the world change with the knowledge? no. pointedly no. However, there is a community of homebrewers and beer enthusiasts who ARE interested in knowing. So, instead of being negative…how about a little positivity and levity up in this piece??? huh?
Why won’t Obama release his recipe? What is he hiding? I have it on good authority from an e-mail forward that this recipe is written in Kenyan. This will be the final nail in the coffin for B. HUSSEIN ObaMao.
Just like all the birthers that didn’t know when Hawaii became a state, got the hospital name wrong, used the wrong ethnic nomenclature…again a fail. They speak Swahili and english primarily.

Use FOIA to get the recipe.
After doing a lot of FOIA work recently I just lol’ed. Now I’m trying to figure out if any exemptions apply… damn you!
