Yay yay yay!! Ditto what Caroline said!!
Yay! I so miss StitchDC and have been up to Tenleytown a few times, but it’s a bit far and more for classes than purchases.
I imagine they lost almost all their old customers with that move. I loved StitchDC but Tenleytown is really far to go for yarn. I know they were having issues with their landlord but I’m kind of annoyed that they didn’t try to stay local.
Yes, you too will have “issues” with your landlord when you stop doing things like paying rent. And you will have “issues” with your employees when you don’t pay them. And you will have “issues” with your suppliers when you don’t pay them/checks bounce, and they will not send you supplies until you bring your old accounts up to date. Marie just needs to put the final nail in the coffin that was a lovely business, at one time years ago, and stop pretending she wants to run a business. She got focused on designing patterns, which allowed her more time with her growing family, but was too proud to close the stores, and alienated all the competent crafty sales people, and it all spiraled down around her.
In short: I’m thrilled to have a new yarn shop on the hill!
I cannot wait for this new business to open up! My sister is an avid knitter…so I can’t wait for HER to knit me all kinds of fun stuff.
