Props to the Cops – Gun recovery and Arrest

From MPD:
“At approximately 830pm tonight [Saturday], members of the Third District’s Crime Suppression Team came in contact with an adult male in the 600 block of Park Road after he was observed to be in possession of an open container of alcohol. Further investigation found the male was also carrying a loaded revolver in his waistband. The subject was placed under arrest and another weapon was taken off the streets.”

as a dc resident you should receive a visitor's parking pass for your zone. i have one...
Good on the cops…open intox runs rampant on that area of Georgia Ave and the surrounding alleys at all time. With a police station on Park road a half block away it always surprises me this behavior is allowed.
I know I know there are bigger fish to fry but you need to address the sociological aspect that breeds tolerance to to this and other more serious “lawless” behavior.
Thank you Park Road substation police for hopefully not allowing this anymore!
I am going to open a new blog — gun watch DC.org Will Foia MPD so they release information on the make and model of all the guns in this gun filled city. Scary how many guns and bullets there are in this town!
