All Souls Neighborhood Bar Coming to Shaw Hopes to Open for Halloween
725 T St, NW
A couple of weeks ago we learned that All Souls neighborhood bar had finally been granted its liquor license in Shaw. I took a quick look of the space at 725 T St, NW (it’s actually 2 storefronts that will be combined) so I could grab some “before” photos. Speaking with owner, David Batista, if all goes well they plan on opening on Halloween. More info as construction progresses.

he is really thumbing his nose at the people who opposed this bar, isn’t he? to open on a child’s holiday? please, some decency! maybe this is really just a ploy to serve the elementary school kids since they will be in costume.
I hope you are joking…and since I haven’t had my coffee yet maybe (?)the sarcasm is lost on me.
Where is this mythical DC where school children are getting wasted at bars? Why does this have anything to do with kids getting dressed up for trick or treating? If Batista wanted to he could give out candy…that would be nice of him.
Halloween has become just as much a holiday for adults as it is for kids. If you have a problem with a bar opening on Halloween, I can’t imagine what you must think of all the slutty nurse/french maid/cheerleader costumes for sale.
And it was a holiday for adults long before it became a holiday for children.
Besides, opening this place on Halloween is perfect. It looks kind of creepy and haunted, anyway.
Perhaps opening on All Souls’ Day a couple days later would be more thematically appropriate
Glad to see the original ceiling tiles are still there! I’m excited to see what David does with the space.
