I lived in that building last year and paid 1900 a month for that exact size apartment....
Pepco was the laggard as usual? What other major projects have they been behind on? Or...
I don't have a car, so I can't comment on the traffic flow, but it does look great!...
I would love a good coffee shop on this side of the Circle. Soho has pathetic coffee and...
Is this instead of the Harris Teeter that was supposed to be part of the Falkland North...
pro : near h street strip and easy to get out of city if you have a car.
con: far from metro and this is what i paid for a similar 2 br spot near dupont/u st.
“this is what i paid for a similar 2 br spot near dupont/u st.”
Really? Where exactly? And when?
17th & T from 2007 – 2009. Landlord raised rent to $2400 after we left.
You can’t compare 2009 in a different neighborhood to 2012 — completely different worlds.
Bet it’s $2600 now too. So really we’re comparing a $2200 apartment to a $2600 apartment.
Exactly.
I pay 2100 for a two bedroom on 14th and T. currently.
I wouldn’t rent this place just because the virtual tour pisses me off so much.
virtual tour pisse dme off too.
Then I guess it worked, because they were worried that if you rented it, you might get behind on rent, anyway. Sorry!
Protip: Press pause and use arrow keys to navigate. Still shitty, though.
This makes me feel like my 3/2.5 two blocks away is a steal at $3200
That virtual tour sucks.
From what I could see, it’s nothing terribly special but this is close to the going rate for a 2 BR in the area.
I’m assuming the fridge and stove will be included.
I am never moving. That back bedroom looks tiny!
I don’t think I’d want to live there. The name reminds me too much of the suburbs. Ugh.
Really? How so? Do you hang out in this area much? I don’t think you do or you wouldn’t make such silly statements.
I’m not sure what you point is. The area is filled with dive bars and restaurants, and on the weekends it fills up with people visiting from the suburbs. Either way, it’s a valid argument.
I think his/her point is that the building’s name is the Marylander which is reminiscent of Maryland. Still a lot better than the Virginian, though.
I would love to actually be able to see pictures of it instead of taking a virtual tour which doesn’t really work… it doesn’t look bad, the price might be a little high considering how busy and loud I’m sure that street gets… If utilities were included it would be the right price.
