That Was Fast – Dangerously Delicious Pies Opens in Union Station Thursday Morning
A couple weeks ago a reader wrote in with word of Dangerously Delicious Pies opening a spot in the food court of Union Station. And now Dangerously Delicious Pies tweets:
“IT’S OFFICIAL!!! Dangerously Delicious Pies will be slingin pies at Union Station Thursday at 10am!! See y’all then!”
They’ve got pretty big shoes to fill as I believe this space was once home to Vacaro’s…

I guess that’s the Baltimore corner of Union Station, first with Vacaro’s and now with Dangerously Delicious Pies, two Charm City institutions!

Vacaro’s closed a couple years ago, unfortunately … went looking for them and they were gone.
Yeah, it never really stuck there, did it?
There’s something about Vacaro’s that really only seems to work in Baltimore’s Little Italy- on a hot summer night with the outdoor film festival happening steps away from the front door, their gelato is really one of the best thing going. In a basement-level food court? Just not the same.
I’ve seen them around town.
Frankly, I don’t get the appeal.
The food court in Union Station has gone downhill fast. I miss the days when Cajun Grill had the best Burbon Chicken. I went there about 2 days ago after 6pm and the food in the display was stale. I was grossed out. Hopefully this pie spot will have a good chocolate cream pie though.
have they left all of those pies unattended? I know where I’m headed… right… now…
