Rant: Those covens of college chicks who cluster around the samples at the outside fruit & veggie vendors (and the chips & salsa stand) who refuse to let anyone get past them to select and make a purchase until each of them has tried whatever it is at least 3x and had philosophical debates about whether it “really is better than Whole Foods” (while pushing people out of the way so their friends who just got there can join in). “Excuse ME! Will you wait until we’re finished checking out the samples? You’re just buying stuff!” And, then, they don’t buy anything. Not even so much as a “thank you” to the vendor for the samples.

I took a walk around the hood. A father and son were out playing basketball in the street in front of their house. Standing there watching them play with great interest were three deer. Of course it’s the one time I left home without my cell phone so no pictures. The father said they watch all the time before heading across Eastern Avenue.
