Ths roof is so far the worst part of this new construction. They are finishing it in all brick, so it will fit in more with the rest of the neighborhood, and really, other than the roof, it looks pretty nice. It’s nice that more in our little ‘hood is getting put up!

This is one of three places that are popping up on the same block of Euclid from Sherman to 9th. This is perhaps the worst, though none of them seem to make any attempt to fit into the neighborhood. That neighborhood, by the way, is not Columbia Heights. It is Pleasant Plains.

If it had been an older house there, it looks like it’s been mostly gutted and rebuilt, new inside and out.
How much demo and reconstruction would it take before you’d consider it more than just an add-on/pop up?
