Go Skateboarding Day. There are events going on all over the world, and DC’s ride from Palace (5ive) to Pulaski gets highlighted in the skate media every year. Kids and aging kids (like me) love it.
What’s up with all the rocks on that windowsill? Are they planning on pelting the passing skaters?
Lol, my first thought was “geologist”– I have plenty of geologist friends and all their windowsills look like this.

Maybe I’m being a debbie downer here, but I wish skate boards were quieter. They always startle me!
I saw them at 14th & L St, they halted all traffic, there was an ambulance with the sirens going that couldn’t get through because of this.
It was a huge crowd, but they lost quite a few of them at the Cricket store.
I was around 14th and U at the time, it almost sounded like a military jet as the skateboard mob approached. It was quite a sight and sound.
