Yes definitely props to DC’s finest – they are a fine, brave and effective crew and are great! My prayers go out to those directly affected by the fire. Such a terrible experience to go through.
finest = police. Firefighters are the “bravest.” Sanitation workers are the “strongest” and in NYC at least, for whatever reason corrections officers are the “boldest.”
I don’t know why we don’t have a national holiday honoring firefighters and emergency medical personnel. Without them, many of us would not be here today.
