Former 24/Seven Restaurant, Now Mediterranean, Coming to 15th and U St, NW Still a Couple Weeks from Opening

Back in April we learned 24/seven was moving from 1408 U St, NW to the former Love Cafe space at the corner of 15th and U St, NW and would be renamed Mediterranean. I stopped in to see if they were close to opening and was told that gas lines still need to be hooked up so it could be another couple of weeks before they open. Stay tuned.

wait a minute, I’m concerned. “salad and grill” does this mean they will still have the falafel/kabab’s or are they focusing on pizza and salad now?? Sweet baby Jesus, I need their lamb kabab to remain on the menu!!

I’m looking forward to this place opening and trying the pizzas! I’ve heard nothing but great reviews about their last restaurant. :-)

Not sure how I feel about this, was not a big fan of Love Cafe (great concept, weak execution) and will prob still go to Astor for Mediterranean. The signage looks cheap. Is this a place U Street locals like to go? How is their lamb kibbeh?

Was the 24/7 signage any better? What keeps me coming back to this place IS THE FOOD!!!!! not the sign.
