I’m impressed by the fact that Brownie can lie on the corner like that and not move. I’d be afraid to let my dog get that close to the curb. Ramona looks like a pretty cool cat. My condolences to Stinky’s owners. When he gets to doggy heaven, please say hello to Raven and Naderri, my sister’s two loving, sweet, beautiful Akitas.

Very sorry about Stinky. Whenever a dog dies, I think about Byron’s “Epitaph to a Dog.” I love these lines:

Ye, who perchance behold this simple urn,
Pass on – it honors none you wish to mourn.
To mark a friend’s remains these stones arise;
I never knew but one – and here he lies.
