We’ll cover essential topics like soil health, watering, nutrients, composting, lighting, mulching, and more—plus key techniques like direct sowing, seedling starting, transplanting, fertilizing, irrigation, and crop rotation. Whether you’re working with a few pots or a raised bed, this crash course will give you the practical knowledge to grow successfully at home.
A core part of the workshop is a guided tour of Edgewood Community Farm, where you’ll see real-world examples of the plants, systems, and techniques we discuss. From our production crops to native flower beds, raised community plots, and eco-friendly lawn, the tour lets you observe growing practices in action and ask questions on the spot.
