Gardening 102 & Farm Tour

Gardening 102 is a beginner-to-intermediate-friendly workshop designed to help you confidently grow annual and perennial vegetables and flowers. We’ll cover essential topics like soil health, watering, nutrients, composting, lighting, mulching, and more—plus key techniques like direct sowing, seedling starting, transplanting, fertilizing, irrigation, and crop rotation. Whether you’re working with a few pots or a raised bed, this crash course will give you the practical knowledge to grow successfully at home.

A core part of the workshop is a guided tour of Edgewood Community Farm, where you’ll see real-world examples of the plants, systems, and techniques we discuss. From our production crops to native flower beds, raised community plots, and eco-friendly lawn, the tour lets you observe growing practices in action and ask questions on the spot.
