Thanks to a reader for sending word that Saint Michel French Bakery is coming to the old Camille’s Cafe space at 1420 New York Ave, NW. They currently have stores in Bethesda and Rockville. Anyone ever try them?

There is only one location, though they deliver to those places. The place is fantastic. Though I hate Yelp, where there’s smoke, there’s fire:

probably the best bakery in the metro area. i drive up to their rockville store a couple times a month. has always been well worth the trip.
Looks like Paul’s has some competition!
I’ve been to the Rockville location. Delicious, authentic French pastry. Terrific addition to downtown.
