1326 Park Rd, NW
Back in Jan. 2012 we saw that El Rinconcito II had expanded into the space upstairs. But that’s not the only great improvement they’ve made – they have an awesome outdoor dining area. With the popularity of the restaurants on 11th St, NW it’s often pretty hard to get outdoor seating on a nice day. Well, here’s another awesome option. And the food is good too!
Anyone have any must order items from their menu?

I had a Yorkie and it pains me to recall thoughts of when my see you next Tuesday gf left...
I hope your prayers are answered.
Our thoughts are with you.
"Boot camp" groups. My hardcore running friends always complain about them. They clog up...
Gathering in one place to show respect for those who served their country is thoughtful....
Great food, especially for the price. Their pupusas are solid, and you can get 2 with rice and beans for $8. Of course, that’s all I ever get. But it’s so much food!
Have been patronizing them for years! Great food, cheap prices, super friendly staff.
Went there a few weeks ago with a friend. The food was fantastic, and the portions are massive. It’s a win all around. +1 on the pupusas. I ordered them before my entree and I went home with leftovers.
The pupusas are solid, but the real star is the deep fried tamale appetizer. Oh baby.
The mexican pizza deshilada is just about the best stoner food ever.
2 cheese enchiladas with beans, rice, and a tamale with crema for an appetizer. holy moly! so good!!
My favorite place in the neighborhood–I am sooo happy that they have outdoor seating. I always order the flautas. Less than $7 for a ton of food!
Super sweet, super excited!
This is great! Finally a way to enjoy ERII food without being forced to watch spanish soap operas!
On the weekends, or maybe it’s just Sunday, they do a seafood soup (Mariscos). It’s not on the menu, but ask for it, it’s big and delicious. Just like me.
Try the ropa vieja – which is actually a Cuban dish. Comes with black beans, rice, & a huge plantain. It’s excellent!
Ate there for the first time about a week ago and loved it, especially the prices.
Meh. Liked it the first time I went. It has been horrible on our two visits since. Won’t be back.
