Seems like a pretty decent deal. About $200 less than what we’re paying for a basement two-bedroom just a couple blocks south. Looks nicer too.
From what I can tell, rooms in group houses go for around $900 + utilities in the neighborhood, so this seems like a good deal.
From Google Street View, it looks like the commercial space it’s above is Lawrence’s II Petworth Carryout.
I’m not sure if I’d want to live immediately upstairs from a restaurant.
Good deal. I know of people renting 1 bedroom basement units in this vicinity for ~$1600. 2 bedrooms means you can have a roommate, = $1,000 per person per month for an above ground unit. That’s a good deal, sadly.
This place is also right by the Wendy’s & Safeway. Decent bus line too. Priced right & should move fast.
