  It is not really a new menu — things just got more expensive. But the food is worth every penny, even at the new higher prices!

  I kow everyone raves about this place but I so don’t get it. The food is mediocre to bad and very greasy. Can someone explain the draw?

    Greasy. That is the draw! I used to come here after early morning sculling – nothing better!

  The place is awful. Menu looks like the same slop food with higher prices. I really don’t get the appeal of this “institution”.

  If you don’t like or want greasy, why would you go to a soul food place? I wouldn’t go to a vegan place expecting meat.

    There’s a difference between fried and greasy. I like the cuisine; I don’t like it with superfluous grease all over everything.

  I like this diner, and am glad it has stuck around with all the changes in the neighborhood. A place to get pigs feet in the city, me likey.

  Pretty much the same menu, but they cut one thing: the hash. My go-to is now gone, but at least the hotcakes and biscuits and gravy are still there.

    No more Corned Beef Hash!!!! So disappointing
