Capital Bikeshare Station Shuffle Continues – 18th and M St, NW to 1125 18th St, NW
“Dear PoPville,
The Capital Bikeshare station from 18th and M St NW was removed, and the map doesn’t show any new stations added nearby. This seemed like a heavily used station. Any news on what’s going on?”
Capital Bikeshare tweets they moved it 150 meters south to the east side of the street in front of 1125 18th St, NW.
Last week a reader noted the 16th and U St, NW station was moved to 17th and T St, NW.

I’m pretty sure you can see the corner of the bright red sign peeking out from behind the red van in the picture…

Who knows if anyone checks it or cares, but it’s at least a way to suggest and comment on places.
There’s construction at that 18th and M building. Probably why they relocated it.
The station behind the CVS at 9th & T St. NW was pulled and moved to the other side of T St…wonder why.
You’re probably thinking of 7th & T, and that CaBi station was never moved. There used to be a SmartbikeDC station [DDOTs old bikeshare test program] on the north side of T, and that’s probably what you’re remembering.
