agreed. Alex Trebek was interviewed in town over the weekend and lamented that the Filene’s by the hotel where he normally stays was gone – I guess we all have something in common…
The workers are putting the finishing touches on the store right now. Strategically throwing merchandise on the floor, breaking antlers off the sequined reindeer candle holders, and placing giant boxes in the middle of select aisles.

See, TJ Maxx can be awesome. The ones in the nice areas of Atlanta are pretty fantastic. And this is right by my office, so I’m hopeful that it will at least fill a small part of the Filene’s void.
