One weekend each year, artists in this building open their doors to show their work. This year features live performance, a bike clinic, film screenings and food from neighborhood vendors. Schedule to come, attendance is free.

  • I will never understand the appeal of “live art”. Unless it’s performance art, it’s always horrible and cliche. Why would I want to watch somebody work in a way that is obviously inauthentic?

    • By the above I meant that I understand the appeal of open studios, but when they advertise “live art” I think it’s ridiculous. It’s nice to see an artist’s space and chat with him/her, but watching one of these people work would be about as exciting as watching somebody write a press release.

      • I think you’re missing the boat here. Open studios generally don’t include you watching the artist work. The artist will be there you visitors will have the opportunity to talk to them about their work. Sounds like a visit could serve you well.

  • I went to this event last year with my tot and it was great, though sparsely attended. This space and its residents are very interesting. Wish we lived closer.
