Stabbing Death of a Marine on Barracks Row
From the Washington Post:
“It happened at about 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of 8th Street SE, about two blocks from the Eastern Market Metro.
Police made an arrest near the scene shortly after the attack, they said.”
NBC Washington reports:
“One Marine is dead and another is in police custody after a fatal stabbing in Barracks Row early Saturday morning.”

What a terrible way to die. And it sounds like it was over nothing more than a stupid drunken argument. My heart goes out the the victim’s family and the Marines.
Considering the mental fragility that sometimes results from the extremely intense levels of psychological training that Marine cadets go through, one has to wonder if there shouldn’t be some sort of test given to those who wish to go out drinking.
