Back in Nov. ’10 we learned some details about RYSE which was slated to come to the City Vista building at 1065 5th St, NW. The signage has been up since Aug. 2011. Well, some potentially good news for City Vista residents – I’m hearing that a Sweetgreen could be taking over the space. Stay tuned.

This can only be a good thing. The area really needs more businesses that will increase foot traffic, since the surrounding neighborhood has been regressing slightly in terms of violent crime, as of late.

Looks as if the Sweetgreen deal fell through. But they have a replacement lined up (and also one for the Rays Hell Burger space around the corner) and should be announced by early May.
