  • I swear Tivoli’s been profiled 3-4 times already all with the same result…it’s empty because of infestation. Plus $1,500 to live there? It was $1,300 three months ago!

  • Would this neighborhood be Columbia Heights or Mt. Pleasant? Seems a tad high for the area IMHO.

    • This Columbia Heights. Mt. Pleasant starts on the other side of 16th Street. It’s not that expensive for the area. Studios at the Allegro a couple blocks south of this place go for more than what’s being asked.

      • Yes, but to be fair, Allegro is only 3 years old and swanky. Tivoli is a very old building that has new finishes

  • They’re advertising studios (with the exact same picture) for under $1200 I think.

I made an appointment but then all the bedbug warnings on the internet scared me off.

“All utilities paid Except electric” is NOT a good deal, considering how life in this town is impossible without a/c a good 4-6 months of the year. Plenty of buildings still include electric.

    • Ya, I don’t know about impossible 4-6 months of the year.. It might be uncomfortable in late July and August but a little dramatic are we?

      • Not in the least! Last summer was horrendous. Two weeks straight of over 100 degree weather PLUS humidity not to mention the *normal* 80 degree weather in the months surrounding the dog days of summer.

    • Really huh? Then I guess I’ve accomplished the impossible- twice! Go me.

  • In what sense is it “a few blocks” from Wisconsin Ave.? Lot of puffery in this one even for a real estate listing. And sorry, landlords, but if you have a bedbug problem you have to wait several years before you can get away with charging the same price as units that are closer to the Metro and haven’t had those problems.

I have seen plenty of ads that said “Dupont Circle Area” that were for places in Logan, Shaw, up by Sibley, past UDC, even in Silver Spring (“Dupont’s less than 30 minutes away on the Red Line!”). If they can stretch Dupont to the Canadian border, Wisconsin Av is just a hop, skip and jump from Ogden & 14th.

  • Maybe the bedbugs and mice can help pay the rent!

  • I’ve had terrible experience with Borger Management. They’re very difficult to work with (negligent, unresponsive, rude).

  • I have had no problems with bedbugs or roaches, and I have been living there for over a year. FYI

  • Any building that has had bedbugs will either have treated – and have the receipts/contracts to prove it – or not. If there have been reports – ask to see the paperwork. Pretty simple.

  • I just moved out of that place, for all I know that is a picture of my old apt. I could not get out of there fast enough, the management was not easy to work with, its loud, and really just generally aggravating to live there. I signed my lease in march of 2011 and paid $1000 a month, anything more than that is way overpriced for that building.
